Our Mission:
The mission of TFS Worldwide is to create freedom of action for the Gospel.
Freedom of action means enabling ministry where access is difficult and
dangerous. It also means that we work toward systemic solutions that are
focused on long-term cultural transformation in the target areas. In
order to do this, we must:
(1) Address immediate needs by helping the oppressed, the orphans, the
widows, and the impoverished. We do this by assisting ministries to gain
and maintain access and support in target areas.
(2) Address the systemic problems - generally caused by poor governance
and lawlessness, which perpetuate intense human suffering. We do this by
working directly with top government leaders to improve justice
conditions, rule of law, and good governance.
Focus Region: Sudan
While the TFS model has practical application on a global scale, current
efforts are focused on the Sudan:
1. HISTORICAL OPPORTUNITY – Soon to be an independent nation - the world's newest an 54th nation in Africa.
2. IMPACT- Opportunity to shape the long-term future of the new nation.
3. RESCUE - An independent Southern Sudan will be the poorest nation in Africa and will continue to face the problems of insurgency, disease, illness, drought, and hunger.
4. PRACTICAL NEEDS - Restore productivity and reduce aid dependency through economic development.
5. STRATEGIC LOCATION - Establish a beach head for missions in the difficult to access Horn of Africa.
6. GROWTH POTENITAL - Mobilize African Christians as agents of change in a priority region.
